Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. (J&JPRD) will consider requests for sponsorships to scientific and professional organizations. Sponsorships include support for an educational event, a patient advocacy event or a publication, for which J&JPRD receives in return advertising and / or other input or content.

Company sponsorships to support activities at health care or scientific professional organizations' meetings or conferences, such as symposia, promotional education activities or medical society meetings, must be acknowledged in all appropriate printed materials advertising the meeting and activity. Recipients of the sponsorship must provide documentation of this acknowledgment to the Company for retention with the original request.

Sponsorships from J&JPRD cannot constitute 20% or more of the budget for the event or activity being supported.

All provisions for sponsorships must be memorialized in an executed agreement.

The sponsorship must be an event or activity in an area of legitimate interest to the Company.

J&JPRD does not provide sponsorships to underwrite a recipient organization's ordinary overhead costs or routine business expenses and does not provide "unrestricted" funding to support sponsorships. Remaining funds not applied to the approved sponsorship may not be applied by the recipient organization to support its routine business activities. Any and all unused funds must be returned by the recipient organization to the Company.

J&JPRD does not provide sponsorship contingent on the use of, or as an inducement to use, products or services from the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.

How To Apply:

A multi-disciplinary committee will review all requests for funding for sponsorships. The Committee must approve all requests for compliance with all applicable policies and guidelines and for funding prior to a commitment to a requesting organization.

All requests must be submitted at least two months prior to the date of the sponsored event in order to ensure sufficient time for processing and to enable a response prior to any deadline for Company acknowledgment in any printed materials.
